Fresh Grillin’ – Recipes for Eating Clean
Decadent and simple! Here’s a perfect way to use those pears sitting on your countertop. The presence of cardamom and honey gives this dessert a sweet touch of flavor, and the grilled pears are warm, soft, and tender. Add a pinch of finely chopped fresh basil on top for a pop of color, if desired. The glaze is incredible when used to coat raw nuts, too.

Gluten Free Grilled Bosc Pears with Cardamom Glaze Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 ripe Bosc pears, peeled, halved, and cored, stems left intact
- ½ teaspoon coconut oil, melted
- 1 tablespoon raw honey
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
- Pinch of sea salt
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped raw macadamia nuts, for garnish
- Pinch of finely chopped fresh basil, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat a grill to medium-high.
- Rub the pear halves with the oil and place cut-side down on the grill. Grill until tender and soft and grill marks appear, about 20 minutes. Transfer to a serving plate.
- In a small bowl, combine the honey, cardamom, cinnamon, and salt; mix well. Drizzle over the pears. Garnish with the macadamia nuts and, if desired, basil. Serve warm.
