Instructions
Use a 2-quart slow cooker coated with cooking spray, or a 6-quart slow cooker with an inserted baking dish coated the cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, sugar, cayenne pepper, milk, butter, and eggs until a batter forms. Stir in the cheese and garlic cloves. Pour the batter into the greased slow cooker insert or baking dish. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for about 2½ hours. Your spoonbread is finished when the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
