Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
Pat the shrimp dry, then season to taste with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the shrimp and fry for 2-3 minutes on both sides, flipping once. Remove from the heat. Add the cooked spaghetti and tomatoes and toss well to combine.
Divide between two plates, sprinkle generously with basil leaves and sunflower seeds, and serve.
