Gluten Free Buckwheat Spaghetti with Shrimp Recipe

We all have heard that oysters are an aphrodisiac, but did you know other reported aphrodisiacs include olive oil, chocolate, coffee, shrimp, chilies, honey, and avocados? Ingredients

  • 7 ounces buckwheat spaghetti
  • 9 ounces large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • Kosher or fine sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 10 cherry tomatoes halved
  • 2 handfuls fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Pat the shrimp dry, then season to taste with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the shrimp and fry for 2-3 minutes on both sides, flipping once. Remove from the heat. Add the cooked spaghetti and tomatoes and toss well to combine.
  • Divide between two plates, sprinkle generously with basil leaves and sunflower seeds, and serve.
