Ingredients

green beans
yellow wax beans, or a combination, trimmed

tablespoons
virgin coconut oil or unsalted butter

tablespoons
fresh lemon juice
1
tablespoon
finely grated lemon zest
1
tablespoon
finely chopped fresh thyme
Sea salt and black pepper
to taste
Instructions
Place the beans in a large skillet or sauté pan with about ½-inch of water.
Bring to a rapid simmer, cover, and steam until crisp and tender, 5-7 minutes.
Drain and return the beans to the pan.
Add the coconut oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, and thyme.
Toss to coat.
Season to taste with salt and pepper before serving.
