2×1 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and minced or grated

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 300ºF.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, maple syrup, ginger, salt, and hot sauce.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes.
Place nuts in a mixing bowl, add the maple glaze, and stir well to coat the nuts.
Pour onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until dry, stirring every 10 minutes.
Let cool.
