Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter or dairy-free butter substitute
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 2×1 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and minced or grated
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼-½ teaspoon gluten-free hot sauce
- 4 cups pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300ºF.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, maple syrup, ginger, salt, and hot sauce.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Place nuts in a mixing bowl, add the maple glaze, and stir well to coat the nuts.
- Pour onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until dry, stirring every 10 minutes.
- Let cool.
