Decadent Chocolate Panna Cotta with Fresh Blackberries

Ingredients 

  • ¼ cup (60 mL) milk
  • ½ teaspoon (1.5 g) unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 cup (240 mL) heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons (25 g) granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup (135 g) chocolate chips or roughly chopped chocolate, preferably at least 70% cocoa
  • 4 tablespoons (36 g) fresh blackberries, washed
  • 6 fresh mint leaves, , for garnish

Instructions 

  • Pour milk into a medium bowl. Sprinkle gelatin over and let sit for 10 minutes, until gelatin softens.
  • Add the cream and sugar to a saucepan. Slowly heat the mixture until the sugar dissolves, then turn off the heat. Add chocolate chips and milk/gelatin mixture and stir carefully until the chocolate is completely melted.
  • Strain the mixture into two serving glasses and place in the fridge to set for 3 hours.
  • Just before serving, garnish with blackberries and fresh mint leaves.
