Vitamin C Smoothie
Want to get your kids to take their vitamins? The trick is to sneak them into delicious foods like this Vitamin C Smoothie, made with banana, oranges, coconut milk, and the addition of liquid vitamin C. This smoothie is cold and creamy, almost more like a milkshake than a smoothie, and has no added sugar. It’s so tasty that you might just want to sneak some sips from your kid’s smoothie!
For this recipe, I used ChildLife Essentials Liquid Vitamin C. You’re going to want to read the dosage instructions and use the correct amount for your child’s age.
The trick to making this really rich and thick is to freeze the banana ahead of time. I just peeled the banana, cut it into 1-inch pieces, put in a baggie, and froze for a couple hours. I like this with coconut milk, but you can use any other dairy free milk of choice (or regular milk if you prefer).
