Bat Wings

Ingredients 

  • ½ cup gluten-free soy sauce
  • ½ cup sesame oil
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 3×1 inch piece fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon black gel food coloring
  • 10 whole chicken wings
  • Black sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and food coloring. Pour into a large food storage bag, add the chicken wings, and marinate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight. Remove the chicken wings from the marinade, shaking off any excess. Discard the marinade.
  • Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Place the chicken wings on the prepared baking sheets and sprinkle generously with sesame seeds. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the wings register 165ºF on an instant read thermometer.
