Cheesy Grits Bar

Ingredients 

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup gluten-free quick cooking grits
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon half-and-half
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Toppings:

  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup chopped bacon

Instructions 

  • In a medium pot, bring the broth to a boil. Add the grits, stirring to prevent lumps. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in the cheeses, half-and-half, and butter. Continue stirring for 10-15 minutes to ensure a creamy texture.
  • Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with your toppings of choice.

Notes

Regular stirring will improve the texture of your grits and help even out the cheesy flavor.
