Why Ginger and Turmeric Are Wellness Superstars

Ginger and turmeric have been used for centuries in traditional wellness practices and continue to be widely celebrated today. Their combined benefits make them especially effective when consumed together in a concentrated form.

Ginger is known for supporting digestion, circulation, and natural energy, while turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful antioxidant associated with reducing inflammation. When paired together, they create a synergy that enhances absorption and effectiveness.

These ingredients frequently appear in anti-inflammatory recipes and foods that help fight inflammation, making them a natural fit for a daily wellness shot.

Benefits of a Daily Wellness Shot

Adding a ginger turmeric wellness shot to your routine can support overall health in several meaningful ways:

  • Supports immune function, especially during seasonal changes
  • Helps combat inflammation naturally
  • Promotes digestive comfort and gut health
  • Provides a clean energy boost without caffeine

I LOVE this recipe – thanks for sharing it!

If I make a larger batch, how many days will it last sealed in a glass jar in the fridge?

    1. Gluten Free & More says:

Fresh pressed juice is typically good for 3 days in the fridge. The type of juicer you use can impact how long the juice lasts – for example a cold press juice lasts longer than juice from a centrifugal juicer (that produces heat, which starts the oxidation process).

Thanks very much for your response!

When you say “good”, do you mean the flavour deteriorates or do you mean it becomes unsafe to drink after 3 days?

        1. Gluten Free & More says:

The ingredients start to oxidize, which deteriorates the nutrients, color, and flavor. I don’t know that it is unsafe after 3 days but you won’t get as much of the benefits from it. Some of this depends on the type of juicer you use, so I’d check out information online about how long juice lasts depending on the juicer type, etc.

            Very helpful- thanks again!

  2. Toby S. Rosenthal says:

The recipe looks delicious. Can I use a blender? is that the same as a juicer?

    1. Gluten Free & More says:

A juicer is different than a blender because it extracts only the juice and leaves behind the solids (the pulp). Another reader used a blender and ate it with a spoon – like a smoothie bowl type of thing – so you could definitely try it in a blender, just know that the consistency will be different and likely the flavor will be a little bit different too.
