Want a fun skewer idea for summertime? Perfect for picnics and great for outdoor gatherings, these Gluten-Free Bagel Skewers are just the thing to add interest to your lunchtime fare. Here I’ve made three varieties: Ham & Cheese Sandwich Skewers, Hummus Bagel Skewers, and Chocolate Hazelnut Fruit Skewers. Try all three or pick your favorite!

For these skewers, I used The Greater Knead plain bagels. These bagels are not just gluten-free but also vegan, non-GMO, and free from the top 9 allergens. I didn’t toast them for these skewers, but you can lightly toast them if you prefer. They likely won’t stay warm for long if you plan to pack these for a picnic or set them out for a gathering, but they will still have that toasted texture. These skewers are really easy to put together and you can even have your kids help you (since the skewers are sharp, you’ll want to make sure they’re old enough to be cautious with them, of course).
