In the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, my family delegates what each of us will bring. My mom whips up the green bean casserole, my grandma makes her famous cornbread, my brother-in-law takes on the turkey. Somehow, I’m always chosen for dessert duty. I don’t mind at all, as I’m no stranger to a sweet treat. But, mastering the art of holiday desserts that appeal to everyone’s tastes and preferences is tricky, especially when there are food allergies involved.

These Individual Pie Shooters are the perfect solution to most of my family’s holiday dilemmas. With a variety of flavors to satisfy picky eaters, smaller portions for fuller bellies, easier prep/cleanup, and much more. You can also customize the fillings to match what your family will gobble up most. They can even be made completely dairy-free.

Using cookies from Homefree in these Pie Shooters was a game-changer. They are deliciously sweet and free from the top 14 allergens. Even my non-gluten-free neighbors raved about how they loved my pie “crusts.” So this year, I have been tasked with bringing these Pie Shooters again; they were such a hit last year that they’ve earned a spot on the yearly menu rotation by popular demand.

To a single-use shot glass (I got mine from Dollar Tree), layer in your cookie crumbs of choice, pie filling or pudding, and whipped topping (or dairy-free). Repeat layers to the top of your glass. Try one or try them all!
