Roasted Cabbage with “Cheesy” Sauce

Going to a summer potluck this summer? Make something everyone can enjoy like this Roasted Cabbage with “Cheesy” Sauce. Not only is cabbage packed with vitamin C but it is also good for your digestive system. Best of all this recipe is gluten-free and vegan.

To make this side dish you cut the cabbage into quarters and drizzle olive oil, salt, and pepper on top. You then roast in the oven for about 40 minutes or until the cabbage is tender and crisp. Then you heat the chili oil and breadcrumbs in a skillet on medium heat. Then in a small saucepan you heat the House Party Cheesy Dip on medium-low unit the sauce is hot. Once the cabbage is done you place it on a serving platter and spoon over the Cheesy Sauce and top with the toasted breadcrumbs and green onions.

Roasted Cabbage with “Cheesy” Sauce

Ingredients 

  • 2 heads cabbage, , quartered
  • Olive oil
  • Kosher or fine sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili oil
  • ½ cup gluten-free panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar House Party Cheesy Dip
  • 1 green onion, , finely sliced

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the cabbage quarters on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast for 40 –45 minutes or until tender, charred, and crisp around the edges.
  • Heat chili oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the breadcrumbs and cook, stirring often until golden brown.
  • Heat the House Party Cheesy Dip in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until hot.
  • Place the cabbage on a serving platter, spoon over the cheese sauce and top with toasted breadcrumbs and green onions.
