It might be fall but here in Florida it’s still quite warm and I love cooling off with a refreshing drink. This Umeshu Saketini is so refreshing and is great to enjoy no matter what the weather is. Umeshu is a popular plum wine in Japan that is sweet, light, and sour. Using umeshu in this drink creates a beautiful plum like color and gives off a floral flavor.

To make this drink you place a large ice cube in a cocktail glass and add the Akashi-Tai Shiraume Ginjo Umeshu and top with the Akashi-Tai Junmai Ginjo Sparkling Sake. You garnish this drink with a plum wedge and fresh thyme. This drink is simple to make and is sure to impress your guest at the next cocktail hour.
