What You’ll Need

Here’s what goes into these simple gluten-free apple crisp parfaits:

  • Apples – Honeycrisp or Gala are great for sweetness and texture.
  • Maple syrup – Adds natural sweetness with a fall-inspired flavor.
  • Cinnamon & nutmeg – Warm spices that make the apples taste like pie.
  • Lemon juice – Brightens and balances the sweetness.
  • Non-dairy vanilla yogurt – Creamy base that keeps this recipe top 14 allergen-free.
  • Homefree Vanilla Mini Cookies – Crushed into chunks for the perfect “crisp” topping.

Tips & Variations

  • Make it dessert or breakfast: Use a higher-protein yogurt and you’ve got a quick fall breakfast option.
  • Try different cookies: Homefree’s chocolate chip or ginger snap mini cookies would also work beautifully.
  • Switch up the fruit: Pears or a mix of apples and cranberries add seasonal variety.
  • Prep ahead: Cook the apples in advance and store in the fridge; assemble parfaits just before serving.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make these parfaits dairy-based?
Yes! If you don’t need them dairy-free, swap in your favorite Greek yogurt for extra creaminess.

Do the cookies stay crunchy?
They soften slightly when layered with warm apples, which makes them taste just like the crumble topping of a baked apple crisp.

How long do they last?
These parfaits are best enjoyed right away, but they’ll keep in the fridge up to 1 day if you’d like to prepare them in advance.

These Apple Crisp Parfaits are the ultimate quick fall treat—warm, spiced apples layered with creamy yogurt and crunchy Homefree Vanilla Mini Cookies. Easy, allergen-friendly, and absolutely delicious, they’re sure to become a seasonal favorite for your whole family.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium apples, (such as Honeycrisp or Gala) cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup non-dairy vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup Homefree Vanilla Mini Cookies, lightly crushed

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the diced apples, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Stir and cook for about 8–10 minutes, until the apples are tender and lightly caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Place the Homefree Vanilla Mini Cookies in a food-safe bag and gently crush with a rolling pin or the bottom of a glass until you have small chunks (not fine crumbs).

In 4 small cups or jars, layer as follows:

  • A spoonful of non-dairy yogurt
  • A layer of warm apples
  • A sprinkle of crushed cookies
  • Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with a sprinkle of cookie crumble on top.
  • Enjoy immediately while the apples are still warm for a cozy fall treat. Or refrigerate for up to 1 day and serve chilled for a refreshing parfait.
