When it comes to celebrating Mother’s Day, there’s nothing better than kicking off the day by serving mom breakfast in bed or a glorious brunch filled with all sorts of morning goodies. It’s a day to make mom feel special, to show her how much we care, and to take the things she normally does for us (like cook breakfast) off her plate so she can truly relax.
If your mom is a lover of all things green and healthy, a perfect addition to the menu is a smoothie bowl! If you’re hosting a brunch, you can even make it fun and interactive by setting up a smoothie bowl station and letting everyone pick out their own toppings (kids go crazy for this!).

Gluten Free Peanut Butter Banana Green Smoothie Bowl Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups spinach, or greens of choice
- ¼ of an avocado
- 1 medium frozen banana
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon turmeric, optional
- ½ cup water or milk of choice
Topping ideas:
- Sliced banana
- Coconut flakes
- Chia seeds
- Dried berries
- Peanut butter
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender in the order listed. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into a bowl and smooth out the top.Arrange the toppings as desired and serve.
