Gluten Free Family-Favorite Guacamole Recipe

This is my husband’s special recipe. He usually gets my kids to help with the prep work, so they claim it to be a little bit theirs, as well. Either way, it is a simple and quick version but the flavors meld perfectly. You can mash it to whatever texture you prefer – we like to leave ours a little bit chunky.

Gluten Free Family-Favorite Guacamole Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 avocados, mashed
- 1 lime, juiced
- ½ teaspoon kosher or fine sea salt
- ½ cup white onion, finely diced
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely diced (leave seeds in for extra heat)
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- Pinch of cayenne pepper, optional
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt, to your desired consistency. Mix in the onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and garlic. Stir in the cayenne pepper. Refrigerate for 1 hour for best flavor, or serve immediately.
