Dairy-Free Hot Chocolate
On a chilly fall day, nothing beats curling up with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. This dairy-free take on hot chocolate is like a warm hug in a mug. Enjoy!
Dairy-Free Hot Chocolate
Servings: 1 Serving
Ingredients
- 1¼ cups unsweetened almond or coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar coconut sugar, or honey
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon dairy-free chocolate chips
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Heat the almond milk in a small pot over medium heat until it starts to steam. Whisk in the sweetener, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips. Reduce heat to low and whisk often until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is hot. (Do not let it simmer or boil.) Pour into a mug and add the cinnamon stick.
Notes
If you need this recipe to be soy-free, choose chocolate chips free of soy lecithin (such as Enjoy Life brand).
