Ingredients

  • 4 ounces (125 mL) marigold-infused simple syrup (recipe below)
  • 4 ounces (125 mL) Limoncello
  • 24 ounces (750 mL) sparkling white wine
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Fill 4 highball glasses halfway with ice. Add 1 ounce each of simple syrup and limoncello to each glass. Pour sparkling wine to the top of each glass and stir gently. Top with a fresh marigold petal or two.

Notes

Marigold petals can be purchased easily online. To make this a mocktail, replace limoncello with fresh lemonade and replace sparkling wine with lime-flavored sparkling water.

For the Marigold-Infused Simple Syrup:
Take 1 cup (240 mL) water and 1 cup (200 g) sugar, and heat together with roughly 1 loosely packed cup of clean marigold petals in a small saucepan. Stir constantly and heat until all sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let marigold petals steep for 24 hours. Carefully remove all the petals. Use what you need for this cocktail and store any remaining marigold-infused syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
