Looking for a show-stopping Valentine’s Day dessert? Then look no further because this Chocolate Cherry Brownie Cake Pop will have you falling in love all over again. Whether you are celebrating this holiday with a significant other or a group of friends a chocolate baked good has got to be in the picture. This handheld dessert is perfect to share with a loved one or to bring to a Valentine’s Day party.

 

The brownie base for these cake pops is Flax4Life Dark Cherry Brownies. All you have to do is put the dark cherry brownies and frosting in a food processor until the mixture can be formed in a ball. Then you put a lollipop stick in each of them and dip them in the frosting. After you let the cake pops rest for an hour you then dip them in the melted chocolate. Then the fun part happens, and you get to drizzle more chocolate and add sprinkles to the cake pops.

 

This Valentine’s Day treat is fun to make, and it is super festive. This recipe makes 16, so you will have enough to give to all of your loved ones.

Chocolate Cherry Brownie Cake Pops

Ingredients 

  • 1 package Flax4Life Dark Cherry Brownies
  • 3 tablespoons prepared chocolate frosting, , plus a little more for the lollipop sticks
  • 16 Lollipop sticks
  • 1 (10-ounce) bag of semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles
  • 2 ounces white chocolate candy melts
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening

Instructions 

  • Place brownies in a food processor and process until fine crumbs. Add frosting and process until the mixture holds together when squeezed in hand.
  • Line a sheet pan with parchment or waxed paper.
  • Form the brownie mixture into 16 balls. Dip a lollipop stick into frosting about ¼ inch and place the brownie ball on the stick. Finish with the rest and freeze for at least 1 hour.
  • Melt the chocolate chips. Put sprinkles on a small plate or in a bowl. Dip the balls into the melted chocolate and then into sprinkles. Let the chocolate cool and harden.
  • Melt the white chocolate and shortening together. Put in a small food storage bag, snip off the end, and drizzle the cake pops with white chocolate.
