There are two different ways to make a root beer float. There are those who like to scoop the ice cream and put it in the glass first before pouring in the root beer. On the other side of the root beer debate, there are those who like to pour the root beer in the glass first and then dump the scoops of ice cream on top. I am a root beer first, ice cream second kind of gal. Whichever way you like your root beer float is fine by me, as long as you enjoy it!

Chocolate Chip Root Beer Float (non-alcoholic)
Ingredients
- 1 12-ounce can root beer
- 1-2 scoops chocolate chip ice cream
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate syrup
- Chocolate chips
Instructions
- Make sure you have a glass large enough to accommodate an entire can of root beer and as many scoops of ice cream as you desire. Tilt the glass and pour the entire can of root beer down the side of the glass to lessen the amount of foam. Carefully scoop and drop the ice cream into the glass. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and chocolate chips.
