Cranberry Sauce Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon (15 mL) extra-virgin olive oil
- ½ cup (55 g) diced white onion
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1 cup (240 mL) leftover cranberry sauce , (homemade or from a can)
- ¼ cup (60 mL) gluten-free soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon (12.5 g) brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Heat olive oil in a pan on the stovetop and add the onion. Use kitchen tongs to sear all sides of each pork chop. Cook the meat and onion together until all sides of the meat have browned and the onion has become translucent. Remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cranberry sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Pour over the pork chops, place the pan into the oven, and cook uncovered for 20 minutes. Ensure the pork has reached an internal temperature of 145°F before serving with mashed potatoes and a green vegetable or side salad.
