Although I’m not your mother, I am a mother. And that means I occasionally get the urge to lecture someone – anyone! Today, that someone is you (it’s because I care).

Have you been eating your daily recommended servings of vegetables? No? I didn’t think so. I can tell by the way you’re yawning right now and how you lack that fruit-and-veggie glow.

You’re not alone. Did you know that only about 1 in 10 Americans eat the recommended daily amount of vegetables? If you’re not eating 2 to 3 cups per day of raw or cooked veggies, then you need to step up your game, so you can join this elite group.

I know you may be thinking up excuses as to why you can’t possibly fit 2 to 3 cups a day into your diet. Maybe you don’t think veggies are much fun or maybe you don’t like prepping them or you think they aren’t convenient enough for you. Or you only like chocolate and veggies just aren’t that.

I get it.

Luckily, there are flavorful, fun, easy-to-make, convenient food options out there that pack in vegetables for you, so you barely have to think about it. And there’s even a chocolate option!

I’m talking about Garden Lites. This company wants you to eat your vegetables, which is why veggies are the first and primary ingredient in all their products – from Superfood Mac & Cheese to Cornbread Veggie Bites to Superfood Veggie Cakes to muffins (including Chocolate, Banana Chocolate Chip, Blueberry Oat, and more).

Garden Lites Gluten Free Chocolate Muffins

One of the company’s most popular products is its Chocolate Muffins, which are full of zucchini and carrots and are free of gluten, dairy, and nuts. These deliciously moist muffins are a good source of fiber and are only 120 calories, making them a healthy yet decadent treat. What’s even better is that just one muffin contains 50% of the daily recommended intake of vitamin A and 20% iron!

All Garden Lites products are gluten-free and many are also free of dairy, nuts, and soy. They are non-GMO and made of clean, simple ingredients.

These products are pretty easy to locate, meaning there’s no excuse to pick up some of these and start getting more veggies into your diet. They’re available in the freezer section of stores such as Target, Whole Foods, Costco, Kroger, Publix, Safeway, Earth Fare, Ralphs, Wegmans, Shoprite, and many more.
