- Halloween S’mores Cookie Skillet Recipe
Imagine a warm, fudgy chocolate chip cookie baked right in a skillet, topped with melty chocolate, puffy toasted marshmallows, crunchy graham crackers, and plenty of Halloween sprinkles. Add a few candy eyes and suddenly your dessert is looking back at you!
It’s basically a s’more and a chocolate cookie got together and decided to dress up for Halloween.
And the best part? You get to grab a spoon and dig right into the skillet while everything is still warm, gooey, and wonderfully messy.
Why You’ll Love This Halloween S’mores Cookie Skillet
There are plenty of reasons to put this skillet cookie on your Halloween dessert menu.
First, it’s just plain fun. The candy eyes turn the marshmallows into little Halloween characters, while the sprinkles add plenty of festive color. It’s the kind of dessert that makes people smile before they even take a bite.
Then there’s the flavor. You get the rich chocolate flavor of a chocolate cookie, gooey marshmallows, melty semisweet chocolate, and crunchy graham crackers—all the classic flavors of a s’more, but in a warm skillet cookie.
And did I mention gooey?
The cookie is baked until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft. Then the marshmallows, chocolate chips, and graham crackers go on top for a quick second trip to the oven. The result is warm, melty, chocolatey goodness that’s meant to be eaten straight from the skillet.
A Halloween Treat, Not a Trick!
Let’s be honest: Halloween is all about the fun.
And while candy is great, there’s something extra special about putting a homemade dessert on the table that looks like it belongs at a Halloween party. This skillet cookie definitely qualifies.
The optional candy eyes are my favorite part. Press them gently into the warm marshmallows and suddenly your s’mores cookie has a whole little cast of spooky characters hanging out on top.
Are they monsters? Ghosts? Friendly little Halloween creatures?
That’s up to you!
You can make them as spooky—or as silly—as you like. Add Halloween sprinkles, use plenty of candy eyes, or let the toasted marshmallows do their own thing. There really isn’t a wrong way to decorate this one.
Bob’s Red Mill Makes Gluten-Free Baking Easy
This Halloween treat is also gluten-free, thanks to one of my favorite gluten-free baking staples: Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free 1-to-1 Baking Flour.
The recipe uses Bob’s Red Mill 1-to-1 Baking Flour right in the chocolate cookie dough, making it easy to create a rich, delicious skillet cookie without complicated flour substitutions.
And if you’ve recently noticed that the packaging looks a little different, don’t worry! Bob’s Red Mill 1-to-1 Baking Flour has new packaging, but it’s still the same great 1-to-1 flour we’ve all come to rely upon for gluten-free baking.
So whether you’re stocking your pantry for Halloween baking or getting ready for the upcoming holiday baking season, you can still reach for the same dependable flour you know and love.

The Easiest Halloween Dessert to Share
One of my favorite things about a skillet cookie is that you don’t have to worry about making every individual cookie look perfect.
Everything goes into one skillet, it comes out warm and gooey, and everyone can gather around and grab a spoon.
This recipe serves 6–8, making it just right for a family Halloween celebration, a small Halloween party, or a cozy night of spooky movie watching.
And because it is served directly from the skillet, there’s something wonderfully casual about it. No fancy cake decorating skills required. No perfectly stacked cookies. No fuss.
Just chocolate cookie + marshmallows + chocolate + graham crackers + Halloween sprinkles.
That’s my kind of Halloween math.
How to Get Those Toasty Marshmallows
The skillet cookie is first baked until the edges are set and the center remains slightly soft. Then the marshmallows, remaining chocolate chips, and crushed graham crackers are scattered over the top.

The skillet goes back into the oven for another 2–4 minutes, just until the marshmallows puff and become lightly golden.
Want a little extra Halloween drama?
The recipe suggests switching the oven to broil for the final 30–60 seconds for more dramatic browning. Just watch the marshmallows closely; they can go from perfectly toasted to very toasted in a hurry!
Let the Halloween Decorating Begin
As soon as the skillet comes out of the oven, sprinkle on the Halloween sprinkles and gently press the candy eyes into the warm marshmallows. Let everything cool for about five minutes before serving.
This is a great place to get the kids involved. Let them decide where the candy eyes go and how many sprinkles are enough.
Spoiler alert: there is no such thing as enough sprinkles on Halloween.
