At Gluten-Free & More, we’ve known Patrick Ford for many years and have always known he is a superstar. And now, the entire specialty food world knows it, too. Patrick, vice president of Ford’s Gourmet Foods and the man behind the magic of Bone Suckin’® Sauce, Sweet Southern®, has officially been introduced to the Specialty Food Association’s Hall of Fame—and we couldn’t be more proud!
This honor is no small feature. The Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who truly shape the specialty food industry, and Patrick does just that (and more!) over the last three decades. Whether you’ve had the joy of meeting him in person or have simply fallen in love with his award-winning sauces and seasonings, you’ve no doubt felt his passion. Patrick is the real deal—a mentor, advocate, leader, and beloved member of the gluten-free community. And yes, we are beyond proud to call him family.

“For 28 years, Patrick has been a dedicated member of the Specialty Food Association and a true champion of our community,” said SFA President Bill Lynch. “We’re honored to welcome him into the SFA Hall of Fame—alongside some of the most influential pioneers in specialty food, including his mom! It’s a full-circle moment.”
Yes—you read that right. Patrick is now in the Hall of Fame with his mom, Sandi Ford, President of Ford’s Gourmet Foods. It doesn’t get more heartwarming than that.
Patrick is quick to share the spotlight, too. “This honor means so much to me coming from the SFA,” he said. “I share this with my mom, Sandi; my dad, Lynn; my brother, Vaughn; and the incredible team at Ford’s Gourmet Foods and Ford’s Produce. They are all part of this family.”
From their roots in Raleigh, North Carolina, Ford’s Gourmet Foods is a fourth-generation family business and home to some of the world’s most flavorful creations—like Fire Dancer Jalapeño Peanuts, Southern Yum Pecan Brittle, and of course, the iconic Bone Suckin’® Sauce, Sweet Southern®. (Fun fact: It’s the only BBQ sauce to be rated #1 by Newsweek, Food & Wine, and more.)
