Simple Marinara Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 gluten-free vegan pizza crust
- 1½ cups jarred tomato-basil sauce
- 2 medium tomatoes, , cut into 1/8-inch slices
- ½ cup fresh basil, , finely chopped
- Nutritional yeast, , for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Bake the crust according to recipe instructions.
- When done, remove the crust from the oven and top with the sauce.
- Arrange the tomato slices on top of the sauce and return the pizza to the oven.
- Bake for 5 minutes, then turn to broil and finish for 1-2 minutes so that the tomatoes start to char.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 3-5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with fresh basil and nutritional yeast (if using).
- Slice and serve.
