These are a lightened up version of the typical fried wings you might find at a football party. They are a little bit sweet, a little bit spicy, and a lot healthier. These usually go fast, so you may want to double or even triple the recipe!
Gluten Free Spicy Maple Baked Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon gluten-free low sodium tamari soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon ground mustard
- ¼ teaspoon kosher or fine sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 24 chicken wings
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a small bowl, mix all ingredients together except the chicken. Place half of the mixture into a small serving bowl and reserve.
- Place the chicken wings on a large foil-lined baking sheet. Pour some of the remaining sauce mixture over the wings, turn over, and brush to coat evenly.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, turn the wings over, and brush the other side with additional sauce. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the juices run clear when the thickest part of the chicken is cut to the bone. Serve the wings with the reserved sauce.
