An Easy, High-Protein Breakfast That’s Perfect for Busy Mornings
If you’re like me and want a quick, satisfying breakfast that’s naturally gluten-free and packed with protein, give these Gluten-Free Bacon and Egg Nests a try. They’re simple to make, incredibly versatile, and perfect for everything from weekday mornings to brunch gatherings.
When I was a kid, we didn’t often eat eggs for breakfast – we were a more of a “Continental Breakfast” kind of family – toast, cereal, juice, that sort of thing.
I was more of a “protein for breakfast” kind of mom when it came to raising my own children and eggs were a constant staple at our breakfast table. Which meant in order to keep things interesting, I needed to come up with new ways to serve eggs.
With crispy bacon wrapped around perfectly baked eggs, these little nests are as delicious as they are convenient, and just as great for meal prep as they are fresh out of the oven.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, this recipe is naturally gluten-free since it uses simple ingredients like bacon and eggs. Just be sure to check your bacon labels to ensure there are no added gluten-containing ingredients.
Absolutely. These are perfect for meal prep. You can make them in advance, store them in the refrigerator, and reheat as needed for a quick breakfast.
Bake just until the whites are set and the yolks reach your desired doneness. Keep a close eye during the final minutes of cooking.
Yes, you can freeze them, but I don’t recommend it. The texture of the eggs may change slightly when reheated. For best results, store them in the refrigerator and enjoy within a few days.
You can customize them with vegetables like spinach or peppers, herbs, cheese (or dairy-free cheese), or even cooked potatoes for a heartier option.
They pair well with fresh fruit, a simple salad, or gluten-free toast for a complete breakfast or brunch.
