Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ pint strawberries , thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh basil , cut into thin ribbons
  • cup toasted almond slices
  • ½ teaspoon kosher or fine sea salt
  • 1 (8-ounce) round brie cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a medium sized bowl, mix together the balsamic vinegar and honey until just combined.
  • Add strawberries to the mixture and stir until all the strawberries are well coated. Put the mixture in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Place cheese in center of baking sheet. Bake on the middle rack until the cheese feels very soft when pressed, about 15-17 minutes.
  • Add fresh basil, almonds, and salt to the strawberry mixture. Top hot brie with strawberry mixture and serve immediately with your favorite gluten-free toasted baguette slices, crackers, sliced apples, or sliced pears.
