Packham pears used in this recipe are similar to Bartlett pears, which may also be used in this recipe. Apples, persimmons, and even figs would work just as great here!

Blue Cheese and Pear Bites

Ingredients 

  • Gluten-free bread of choice cut into 12 baguette-sized ¼-inch-thick slices
  • 4 ounces blue cheese, , sliced or crumbled
  • 1 Packham pear, , thinly sliced
  • Raw honey

Instructions 

  • Preheat the broiler on low.
  • Arrange the bread slices on a rimmed baking sheet in a single layer and broil 3-4 inches from the heat for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Arrange the pear slices and cheese on top of the toasted bread and broil until the cheese is melted, about 2 minutes.
  • Drizzle with honey and serve immediately.
