What Is Koji Granola?
Koji is a fermented rice that’s been used in Japanese cooking for centuries—it’s the secret behind ingredients like miso, soy sauce, and sake. By incorporating it into granola, San-J has created something that’s not only crunchy and satisfying, but also rich in natural umami flavor. And the best part? It’s gluten free, dairy free, and perfect for savory applications like this salmon crust.
San-J Koji Granola will be launching soon in three bold flavors:
- Original – the perfect neutral base for savory dishes
- Cocoa – with a hint of chocolatey depth
- Matcha – bright and earthy, ideal for more adventurous palates
