Gluten-Free Alexander Cocktail
Sophisticated and luxurious, this seemingly indulgent Gluten-Free Alexander Cocktail is actually plant-based despite its creamy, milk-like consistency. Smooth, rich, and flavorful, this cocktail is the perfect drink to kick back with on this lovely fall Friday!
So, how do you get a creamy cocktail without dairy? Frankly, if you have to ask, you probably haven’t had very many dairy-free foods or drinks before … because it is entirely possible! We’ve come a long way, not just in gluten-free foods but in dairy-free ones, too. Many people with celiac are also dairy-free, so it’s great to have items that fit both diets. Wild Arbor cream liqueur does just that. It’s a plant-based cream liqueur that is certified gluten-free as well as dairy- and lactose-free.
If you’ve ever popped open a bottle of dairy-based cream liqueur and wondered how it manages to last so long, well, it’s probably artificial preservatives or other ingredients that are questionable. Wild Arbor doesn’t have those kinds of ingredients because it doesn’t need them. And last but not least, this liqueur is clear, making it more versatile in cocktails and perfect for all your holiday cream-based drinks, and it has fewer calories than standard cream liqueurs. Cheers to that!
To make this Gluten-Free Alexander fully dairy-free, make sure to use plant-based cream and use a dairy-free crème de cacao (I’m honestly not sure if crème de cacao is always dairy-free or if it sometimes contains dairy, but you should just double check that if dairy is an issue for you; we used the Mr. Boston brand for ours, which says it’s dairy-free).
TGIF! Cheers to the weekend. Check out more gluten-free cocktail and drink recipes.
