Kelapo offers two ways to cook tasty meals

What do you cook with? Oil? Butter? Either way, Kelapo offers two delicious, healthy oils/fats to cook with or use in recipes: ghee and coconut oil.

Kelapo’s ghee is a shelf-stable clarified butter, or butter that has had the milk solids and impurities removed. This process creates a product that is typically safe for people with lactose or casein intolerances (depending on the person). It has a high smoke point, meaning it won’t break down into free radicals like lower smoke-point oils. It contains vitamin K2, linoleic acid, and medium-chain fatty acids, which are absorbed directly by the liver (like carbs) and burned as energy. This type of energy source helps athletes maintain consistent energy and may even help with weight loss. Kelapo’s ghee is made from grass-fed, pasture-raised cows and is gluten-free. The brand also makes a 50/50 blend of coconut oil and ghee, which is also a good replacement for oils and butter in cooking and works great for “bulletproof” coffee. Both the ghee and 50/50 blend are Paleo-friendly.

Kelapo’s coconut oil is available in a spray or regular oil and is naturally organic, vegan, unrefined, and Fair Trade approved. It is a great oil substitute for all types of cooking, baking, and sauteing.

Later this year, Kelapo will be releasing a new line of spray oils in a BOV (Bag on Valve) can. This type of can is an aerosol replacement and much better for the environment. It also keeps the oil separated from the compressed air, so that the contents stay pure and are not mixed with propellent, unlike aerosol cans.

Of course, all of Kelapo’s products are gluten-free, and they are also Paleo-friendly!
