October GF Product Roundup

October gluten-free product round-up

October is nearing its end, so to close out the month let’s take a look at some of the fantastic products we fell in love with this month. From snacks to protein and more, here’s a round-up of some of my favorite new gluten-free products.

Canyon Bakehouse Heritage Whole Grain Loaf

Canyon Bakehouse Heritage Bread

This bread is the size you remember before you went gluten-free – a full, two-handed sandwich kind of size! If you, like many people, missed that full size and wondered if you’d ever find it in a gluten-free version, wonder no more! Canyon Bakehouse quickly stole my heart, by way of my belly, with its variety of gluten-free breads, bagels, English muffins, and brownies. A delicious brand that is free from gluten, all nuts, soy, dairy, and casein, Canyon Bakehouse will become a go-to brand for you and your family the second you take a bite. They are Certified Gluten Free by the GFCO and the company was founded by a celiac, making it not only a delicious brand, but a trusted one, too.

Body Ecology Protein

Body Ecology Probiotic Protein Shake

This protein shake is more than just nutrition, it’s fermented for optimal gut health. Body Ecology is an excellent brand for gut health and they are very gluten-free friendly. I like their products because if you are getting over getting glutened or are having symptoms of a weak stomach, this seems to be gentle enough yet enriched with all the good stuff to strengthen your gut again. Have a scoop of this in the morning with some fresh fruit and a slice of gluten-free toast or take it after a workout – either way, it’s a great way to get protein and probiotics all in one.

Dont Go Nuts Granola Bars

Don’t Go Nuts Granola Bars

Don’t Go Nuts is brand new to me and I have to say, it’s a hit throughout the whole Gluten Free & More office. Everyone here has enjoyed the granola bars, especially the white chocolate one – Whitewater Chomp. What’s great about these granola bars is that they are ideal for children and perfect to take to school. They are organic, nut-free, gluten-free, egg-free, and non-GMO. Two of the bars contain dairy and one is dairy-free, plus they are free of coconut and sesame, so there are options for a variety of dietary restrictions. The company also makes delicious protein spreads that are similar to nut butters but are completely nut-free and made with soy beans. Don’t Go Nuts is a delicious and safe brand that I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of pretty soon!

Jalapeno ParmCrisps

One word: ParmCrisps. That’s all you need to know. Just kidding, I’ll give you some more details. ParmCrisps are exactly what the name implies – Parmesan cheese crisps. They are baked and crispy and oh-so tasty! These crisps are available in Original, Jalapeño, Sesame, Everything, Italian Herb, Basil Pesto, Rosemary, and coming soon … Prosciutto and Pizza varieties! The ingredients are simple and minimal – just Parmesan cheese and herbs or seasonings (the Prosciutto and Pizza varieties contain meat). If you’ve been following my blog this year, you’ve probably seen a few recipes using ParmCrisps and suggestions for appetizers. I love these and think they are the perfect alternative to a carb-heavy cracker. They’re also keto-friendly.

OWYN Protein Shake Fall feature

OWYN Protein Drinks

OWYN has been a favorite of mine since they launched, so of course I had to include them in this product round-up. I’ve probably already said how much I like their Cold Brew Coffee Protein Drink, but I’ll say it again … I really like this one! It gives you the nutrition and added protein for the morning along with that caffeine kick of coffee, which is ideal for before or after a morning workout. OWYN also has protein powder and NEW plant-based protein bars, but their ready-made protein drinks are probably my favorite. The convenience and taste is second to none and you can just tell that the founders of this company know their stuff when it comes to great-tasting, high-performance protein.
