Gluten-Free Pear Clafoutis Recipe
If you’re looking for a unique dessert to serve at Thanksgiving this year, one that can be whipped up at the last minute with ingredients you likely already have on-hand (with the exception of heavy cream and pears), look no further than this lovely Gluten-Free Pear Clafoutis recipe.
Although this isn’t a dessert that is traditionally served for Thanksgiving, the seasonal pears and the incredibly simple preparation make it a great choice for this holiday.
A clafoutis is a fruit-filled dessert that has a flan-like batter, which bakes into a moist and delicious cake. The dish uses simple kitchen staples like milk, cornstarch, sugar and eggs. Because the ingredients are simple, it’s always a good idea to use the highest quality you can, to ensure the flavor of each truly shines through. For example, I use pasture-raised eggs from Nature’s Yoke and organic pears, milk, heavy cream, and sugar. I also use non-GMO cornstarch and pure vanilla extract (never artificial!).
Enjoy the holiday and the rest of the fall season with this beautiful dessert!
