Ready for an addictive snack? These Keto Sweet & Spicy Jalapeño Poppers will have you chowing down and not wanting to share … but this recipe makes 24, so I do recommend you share!

What makes these spicy? Jalapeños, obviously. What makes these sweet? Swerve Brown, a brown sugar substitute that has zero calories and zero net carbs and doesn’t impact blood sugar levels. It’s a keto-friendly sweetener that tastes and bakes like regular sugar and has no aftertaste.

I love these poppers for entertaining or just for a Friday night snack with the family while binge-watching some TV shows on Netflix. These, a bag of popcorn, and some chicken wings make for an excellent assortment of TV-watching snacks!

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) package full-fat cream cheese, , at room temperature
  • 1 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 jalapeño peppers
  • 12 slices bacon, , not thick cut
  • ½ cup Swerve Brown

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and top with a wire rack.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and garlic powder and mix well.
  • Cut the peppers in half lengthwise. Using a small spoon, scrape out and discard the seeds. Fill the peppers with the cheese mixture.
  • Cut the bacon strips in half widthwise. Wrap a piece of bacon around each pepper.
  • Place the Swerve Brown in a small plate. Place a pepper in the Swerve Brown and roll, pressing the Swerve onto the bacon. Place on the rack of the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp and the cheese is hot. Can be prepared ahead, refrigerated, and baked off later; let sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before baking.
