Iced Vanilla Coffee Floats
When I was a kid living in North Carolina, my dad used to occasionally take us to the root beer stand to order root beer floats on hot summer afternoons. It was so old-fashioned, we waited in our car, and the carhops would come to take our order and bring them back to us to enjoy. The experience was great but those root beer floats! I thought they were the best things I had ever consumed in my life.
Nowadays I think a root beer float would be way too sweet for me, but I like the concept. A delicious cold beverage with ice cream scoops, I mean, how great is that?
These Vanilla iced coffee floats are a grown-up nod to my childhood favorite. Cold coffee, sweetened lightly with Singing Dog Vanilla Syrup and a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream. (If it is easy homemade ice cream, even better!)
You can gild the lily on this with some whipped cream and chocolate sauce or just enjoy as is. And I do believe you will enjoy it!
