Gluten Free Sugar Free Quick Cherry Frozen Yogurt

Gluten Free Sugar Free Almost Instant Cherry Frozen Yogurt Recipe

It is hard to say what I love most about this naturally gluten-free dessert. It could be the fact that it contains just four ingredients or that it is ready in under a minute. Or maybe it is the fact that it is refined sugar free and practically fat free. Then again, it could be that even now, in the dead of winter, it has the bright, juiciness of sweet cherries bursting all through, hearkening the warm, lazy days of summer.

I love the fact that with ingredients I almost always have on hand, I can make a company-worthy dessert and I can do it without even breaking a sweat. In fact I can do it barely moving. Seriously folks, this is one simple dessert.

Some may say that winter is not the ideal time for frozen desserts but I beg to differ. We tend to eat hearty, warming meals during the winter and I think something cool and refreshing after a substantial meal is just exactly the right thing! And since most people tend to eat heavier and move less during the winter, an essentially fat free dessert is certainly a plus.

This Gluten Free Sugar Free Almost Instant Cherry Frozen Yogurt recipe is so simple, it takes more time to write it down than to make it. You can prepare it before dinner and pop it in the freezer or have someone else clear the table and whip this up before they are done. If you make it more than an hour or so ahead it may freeze too hard but not to worry. If that happens just microwave it on defrost for 4 – 5 minutes, break it into smallish chunks and pop it all back into the food processor for a few seconds.

Don’t let the simplicity of the dessert fool you. Seriously simple, seriously sensational!

  1. This looks like it has some intense flavor! Not to mention I’m pretty sure this counts as “health food” and not “dessert” :)

Oh my! That looks so good! And so easy — will have to try that one. I come from a family that loved making and eating homemade ice cream so I agree it’s never too cold for ice cream.

Once in awhile I splurge & treat my family to a bowl of Chapmans Gluten Free Black Cherry Ice Cream. (Made in Canada) It’s fantastic stuff but this will be amazing to make at home. Thanks again Carol. I agree, it’s never too cold for frozen yogurt or ice cream! :)

Hi Carol…the Cherry Frozen yogurt looks so yummy and I can’t wait to make the fudge sauce. Do you have any suggestions for a yummy frozen dessert that is gluten, soy and dairy free? I had to start doing dairy free a few weeks ago, and I love ice cream and frozen yogurt. I have tried a couple of the coconut ice creams and they are ok. Thank you for these wonderful recipes.
