- 1 large red cabbage shredded
- 1 medium sweet onion diced
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons honey
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon mulling spice in a cheesecloth bag or tea steeper
- 1 teaspoon kosher or fine sea salt
- Few turns of fresh cracked pepper
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a 6-quart slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Remove the cheesecloth bag. Strain off any extra liquid, and serve.
