Sweet n’ Spicy Holiday Chestnut Gift

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chestnuts sliced
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon dairy-free butter
  • 1 tablespoon liquid stevia

Instructions

  • Toast the nuts and seeds in a dry skillet for 3 minutes.
  • Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the salt, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, cayenne, and garlic powder.
  • Set aside.
  • In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, bring the water, butter, and stevia to a boil, whisking every 10 seconds.
  • Drizzle the mixture over the nuts and seeds with a spoon until all liquid is evaporated.
  • Transfer to the bowl of spices and toss to coat.
