Chef Free Club Box

An inclusive cooking club for kids

Summer is here, the kids are out of school (although, to be fair, they were out of the classroom a while ago in most states due to the pandemic). Now that they don’t have classwork, you may find yourself needing some activities for them, and in my opinion it’s great to let children play but it’s also great to have them do activities that are enjoyable AND teach them something at the same time. Summer learning loss is something that has been studied across many age groups, subject matters, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Studies show varying levels, but on average children lose about 1 month’s worth of learning during the summer. This is why integrating learning activities is so important during summer vacation, and luckily there are many ways to make it fun for the kids and for you!

Chef Free Club is a program that offers month-to-month, annual, and semi-annual memberships, where you’ll get a box kit delivered that includes:

(1) A quality kitchen tool
(2) Skill tutorial and reward sticker
(3) Themed recipe cards with step-by-step photo instructions
(4) Brand and ingredient suggestions to ensure you can fully participate with your special diet needs
(5) Educational activity packet and review games
(6) Bonus materials and fun surprises like recipe creator features, club member spotlights, tips & tricks (for both in and outside the kitchen), food samples, coupons, and more!

Boy excited to try Chef Free Club Box

All the recipes and food samples are gluten-free and free from the top allergens and animal-based products. They are designed to teach kids essential kitchen skills, battle food-related anxieties by encouraging children to explore the wide range of foods they can eat, develop a healthy relationship with food, and become part of a community through interactive opportunities.

This is a great way to share a common interest of cooking with your children and each monthly kit encourages learning without them noticing; skills like math, reading, science, art, and history are all woven into the program. They also offer links to more resources for kids and parents to continue learning about each month’s theme.

My own kids are too old for these kits, but I do have young grandchildren who got to learn from one of these boxes. You can check out that experience, which we recorded on Facebook Live, if you click here.
