Gluten Free Bellini Bar Recipe

Brunch is a lovely way to entertain, especially for Easter. Typically, brunch is less expensive to host than serving the same amount of people at a dinner party. And what better way to enjoy a lovely spring day?

A brunch menu can really include any type of food you want – breakfast, lunch, sweet, savory – but it is best to include a combination.

If the idea of hosting a party earlier in the day makes you nervous, don’t fret. We have come up with ways to take out the stress and leave in the fun.

The trick to reducing stress is to be prepared. Prepare the food in advance, decorate and arrange flowers the day before, and set up food stations where people can serve themselves. Our brunch includes a Bellini bar (recipe follows), crostini corner, and self-serve yogurt station.

Another tip for easy parties is to combine dishes that you make with ones that can be assembled.

All the recipes in this brunch menu can be made ahead and either popped in the oven in the morning or reheated. Use a few of our recipes and ideas, or all of them!

Gluten Free Bellini Bar Recipe

A Bellini bar is perfect for brunch. You simply set out champagne flutes, bottles of chilled champagne, sparking wine, or Prosecco (our personal favorite) as well as sparkling water for non-alcoholic Bellinis, and little bottles or jars of pureed fruit. Almost any type of fruit can be used; peach is classic, but raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, and cherries also work really well. Choose ripe, sweet fruit (fresh or frozen and thawed) and you don’t need to add any sweetener.

  • 1 750 ml bottle sparkling wine or water
  • 8 ounces fruit puree


  • Simply puree the fruit in a blender then push through a fine strainer. Fruit purees can be made a day ahead and stored, covered, in the refrigerator. We recommend 4-6 fruit purees for your Bellini bar.
  • Serve whole or sliced pieces of the fruit as garnishes.
  • Instruct your guests to add 2-4 tablespoons of fruit puree to a champagne flute then fill the glass with sparkling wine or water, add a garnish, and enjoy!
